Ken Valledy – Tech2Brand
Ken is the founder of Tech2Brand and a regular columnist in Disrupts.
Ken has 10+ years FMCG Marketing Experience. His last employer was Anheuser-Busch Inbev, where he held numerous senior Marketing positions including the UK Brand Director for Beck’s beer and Consumer Connections (Digital) Director for Western Europe. As of January 2014, he started his own business called t2b (Tech2brand). ‘t2b’ combines his 2 passions (Brand Marketing and tech Innovation). The company is based in Shoreditch, East London and focuses solely on connecting brands with new startup tech innovation.
Juliet manages a portfolio of high growth technology clients providing banking and debt facilities to support growth. Juliet is building Barclays strategy of supporting high growth companies and entrepreneurs from ‘Micro to IPO’ and supports companies going through Barclays Accelerator. Barclays launched a venture debt framework in 2015 in order to better support companies through the growth stage. Juliet joined Barclays in 2010 after qualifying as an accountant at KPMG.
Julie Barry – RIFT
Her mission is to educate British businesses about the impact research and development tax relief can have on their success. She takes pride in championing the small businesses that drive the UK forward. With an extensive background in financial services working with major blue-chip organisations she understands that extra funding and support can be the difference between getting an idea up and running or staying stuck firmly on the start line. She believes that nothing is more rewarding than taking a small business from a position where it may not even be aware it is entitled to tax credits through to getting something back that transforms its fortunes is what drives her and her team.
